Yahoo! to soon showcase their messenger product for the Vista operating system

Internet giants Yahoo! is scheduled to showcase how their Yahoo! Messenger would look and work like on the Windows Vista operating system.

The company would give their users a preview of a new and improved version of Yahoo Messenger on the Vista platform at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show.

This new edition would be specifically optimized for Windows Vista. And it would take advantage of the enhancements present in the operating system.

Joshua Jacobson, a Yahoo senior product manager spoke about this product: “It feels very much at home as though it’s living and breathing in Windows Vista.” A beta version is expected to be released during the second quarter of the year.

Microsoft is due to launch the Vista operating system to retail customers later this month. The corporate launch took place in November last year.
