New Parallels Desktop for Mac beta include support for USB 2.0 devices
Parallels has released a new beta of their Parallels Desktop for Mac. This new beta has many new enhancements including support for USB 2.0 devices.
The application retails for $79 and this beta release is only available to registered users willing to give it a try.
The support for USB 2.0 would enable the customers to use devices including hard disk drives, printers and scanners. These would now work at full native speeds.
The company has said that “isochronous devices” like Bluetooth peripherals and webcams do not yet work and they are still working on improving on this aspect.
Parallels added that customers can now burn CDs and DVDs directly in Parallels virtual machines. They can also play any copy-protected CD or DVD. Pretty impressive.
