Microsoft recalling the recent patch for Office for Mac

Software giant Microsoft recently issued seven patches as part of its monthly round of updates.

However, they are now recalling a patch issued for the MS Office productivity suite for Mac.

The company said that this patch was “accidentally published” before full testing was complete.

Microsoft added that this patch is still in testing, and suggested that users uninstall the patch for now.

Mike Reavey, a senior Microsoft security official said in a blog post: “As soon as we discovered the error, we moved quickly to address it and remove the prerelease binaries from our public sites.”
