Microsoft testing Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007
Software giant Microsoft has announced that they are now testing Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.
This application would allow corporate customers to make Web-based phone calls using the MS Office productivity suite.
This application is currently scheduled for a release in April-June quarter of 2007. It would also mark the company’s entry into the business telephone market.
Microsoft is getting this application tested at as many as 2500 companies.
Market analysts believe that this would put Microsoft in direct competition with the networking giant Cisco and IBM.
