Novell announces release of OpenSuse 10.2
Linux major Novell has announced the release of the latest edition of their OpenSuse Linux distribution.
Novell said that OpenSuse 10.2 comes with redesigned desktop interfaces from KDE and Gnome. It also features as many as 1,500 other open source software packages.
OpenSuse is available as a free download and includes the popular open source office productivity suite OpenOffice. It also comes loaded with Firefox 2.0 Web browser, Beagle desktop search, GAIM instant messaging client and other free software.
Novell claims that this release is the world’s most usable Linux distribution and offers compatibility with Microsoft Office document files and PDF, RealMedia and Flash files.
For people who are not ready to move over completely, OpenSuse would allow them to dual between Windows OS and Linux.
