Microsoft Word flaws continues to be exploited
Software giant Microsoft has admitted that another flaw has been found in their MS Word application. This is the second zero-day bug discovered in the last week.
The company further said that this second bug is being exploited by attackers.
Scott Deacon of the Microsoft Security Response Center said that this new flaw is totally unrelated to the previous flaw. He said: “From the initial reports and investigation we can confirm that the vulnerability is being exploited on a very, very limited and targeted basis.”
This problem is bad enough to completely compromise the PC if the victim opens up a maliciously crafted MS Word file.
Deacon added that Word 2000, 2002, 2003, and Word Viewer 2003 are affected by this latest problem.
