Market analysts predict Vista adoption would be slow
Microsoft is claiming that people are going to rush in to upgrade to their latest edition of Windows Operating System.
They are due to launch Vista early next year and it is the biggest launch from the company since the launch of Windows XP some 5-6 years ago.
Forrester Research analyst Ted Schadler has said in a report that they predict Windows Vista adoption patterns would be similar to the uptake on Windows XP.
The report is named “A Forecast of Windows Vista Consumer Adoption” and it predicts that about 12 million households will purchase Vista in 2007.
This is then expected to grow up to 73 million by 2011.
Schadler further said that it would take Vista as much time to reach a wider audience as it took Windows XP.
