Microsoft Windows Vista OS coming in retail stores on January 30
Software giant Microsoft has somewhat confirmed that the Vista operating system would be launched in the retail markets on January 30.
The company has confirmed that they have completed the development work on this operating system product. Microsoft is hoping that the customers would make a “fast and immediate” switch to the new Windows.
Jim Allchin, co-president of Microsoft’s platforms and services division said in a statement: “On January 30, you will be hard pressed to find a machine that doesn’t have Windows Vista available.”
Research group IDC has said that they are estimating that around 100 million computers worldwide would have Vista installed on within the first year of launch.
Microsoft is already due to deliver Vista operating system to their corporate customers later this month. They are also going to launch Vista, Office 2007 and 2007 Exchange e-mail server.
