Microsoft launches Internet Explorer 7 Japanese edition
Software giant Microsoft has announced the availability of the Japanese language edition of their Internet Explorer 7 web browser.
However, the company has said that they are delaying the delivery of this application through Automatic Updates until next year.
This is because their corporate customers in the region have asked them to give them sometime to configure their Web sites and applications.
Interested users can still download the application manually from the company’s website. Microsoft has in addition also rolled out local-language IE7 editions in Finnish, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. They have plans to release as many as 24 editions of IE 7.
Tony Chor, the team’s group program manager said in a statement: “As with the English version, we’re making the localized downloads available a few weeks ahead of distribution via Automatic Updates. German, French, Spanish and Finnish users should be prepared for AU distribution by mid-November. Japanese AU distribution will begin this spring.”
