Mobile service provider 3 makes Windows Live Messenger service free
Mobile service provider 3 has said that their subscribers can now use the Windows Live Messenger service for free.
The company found that since august; their members sent over 100 million messages. This made them enhance the availability of this service for their customers.
This service would be free for their contract and pay-as-you-go customers. However, pay-as-you-go customers will only be eligible for the free service until December 2007. Contract customers get this service free for life.
3 UK’s Marketing Director Graeme Oxby said in a statement on this new development: “We have been watching with interest at how quickly the super-connected generation has adopted instant messaging on their mobiles. Our core user group of 16 to 24-year-olds spend a large proportion of time online and happily use a mix of instant messenger, texting and mobile calls depending on what suits them at that particular time.”
