Symantec launches Backup Exec, Ghost Solution Suite and AntiVirus software for Vista

Security application maker Symantec has announced the launch of its next generation of Backup Exec, Ghost Solution Suite and AntiVirus software.

These applications now support the upcoming Windows Vista operating system due for launch later this month.

The company showcased the Backup Exec 11d which is aimed at small to medium-size businesses. It features enhancements like continuous data protection (CDP) for Windows file servers and Microsoft Exchange as well as encryption for data protection.

Symantec also announced the launch of Version 2.0 of its Ghost Solution Suite enterprise imaging and software deployment application. It now supports x64-bit Windows servers.

They are also planning to launch Version 10.2 of Symantec AntiVirus in the near future which would work on the Vista operating system.
