Motorola plans to build an Open Source Java ME Community
US based tech giant Motorola has said that it plans to establish an open source community for the Java Micro Edition (Java ME) software stack.
It would be targeted at the mobile industry. They would be using open source Apache License Version 2.0 for this venture.
The company said they are inviting the broader Java ME ecosystem to this initiative to reduce Java fragmentation.
The original developers of Java Sun Microsystems have released several Java technology pieces to the open-source community.
