Windows Live Messenger 8.1 Beta out for beta testing
Microsoft has sent out invitations to users of their Live Messenger to test out a new beta of this instant messaging application.
Some of the new features being touted in this release are:
• Redesigned, smarter contact cards give you more data about and easier access to your friends
• Your display name, status and personalization roam with you to any computer
• Try PC-to-phone calling with two free calls to virtually any phone in the world
• Better server performance
• Automatic updates
• Improved sign-in performance
And of course it also includes contact list, emoticons, and instant access to your friends via text, voice, and video in addition to Sharing Folders, Windows Live Contacts, and more.
