Red Hat announces no cuts planned for their services due to Oracle announcement

World’s leading Linux software distributor Red Hat has said in a statement that they are not planning to announce any kind of price cuts in their services after Oracle announced their plans to launch similar services at cheaper rates.

Red Hat’s chief executive Matthew Szulik made this statement while talking to cable channel CNBC.

This came a day after the company’s share prices took a beating due to the announcement made by Oracle which aims to take away a share of their customers with their low cost support services.

Szulik added that despite this newly announced competing service from Oracle, they would continue to work with the company to sell products alongside Oracle databases and software designed to work on the Linux operating system.

Szulik said: “We’ve had a very productive seven-year relationship with Oracle. We want to make sure our products perform very well with Oracle.”
