Apple provides a utility to fix Apple iPod Shuffle

Apple Computer has released a small utility for the owners of Apple iPod Shuffle who have discovered that the product has stopped working at all.

Users can now download a reset application which would fix problems by reinstalling version 1.1.4 of the Shuffle’s internal software.

However, this utility won’t help the user restore the data already present on the Shuffle unit.

The original Apple iPod Shuffle was sold in the market with 512MB or 1GB of flash memory and the utility works on both these models. However, it does not support any of the other variants of the iPod.

Apple said that the utility might help the users solve issues related to inability to play music, or sync with Apple’s online store iTunes.
