Windows XP Service Pack 3 would come out in 2008

Microsoft has just released the first major update to their Internet Explorer web browser after a period of around 5 years.

The company is due to launch Vista sometime next month. It would be the first major upgrade to Windows Operating System since the launch of Windows XP.

The last update XP saw was the launch of Service Pack 2 update on August 6, 2004. As per latest information, Microsoft is now planning to release a Service Pack 3 for the Windows XP operating system in 2008.

SP3 has already seen many delays. The most recent update from the company was that XP SP3 would be released sometime in the later half of 2007. However, it seems that the company plans to spend more time on developing updates for the Vista operating system in the near future.
