TECHSPANSION RELEASES iSQUINT 1.5
The the #1 iPod video converter now creates 640×480 H.264 files for iPod!
Since October 2005, iSquint has been the top choice for iPod video conversion on the Macintosh for hundreds of thousands of iPod owners. It has been featured in magazines such as Macworld, MacHome and MacAddict, newspaper columns by Walter Mossberg and Andy Ithnatko, and countless blogs and websites.
On September 12th, Apple announced an update for 5G iPods, providing higherresolution H.264 videos. Unfortunately, this was limited to purchased videos and videos converted by the QuickTime frameworks — third-party encoders were left out. Less than one week after the announcement of the higher resolution update for the 5G iPod, Techspansion unlocked this functionality for its users of VisualHub…at speeds up to 40% faster than QuickTime/iTunes!
Today, Techspansion offers this same functionality to all iSquint users for free! iSquint 1.5 is available immediately at http://isquint.com as a freeware download. Check the included ChangeLog for other additions and bug fixes in version 1.5. Users looking to convert to more than just iPod format are encouraged to check out VisualHub at http://visualhub.net
