Cingular and Symbian to work together on Smartphone developments
Cingular Wireless and Symbian have together said in a statement that they would now be working together on Smartphone development.
This collaboration is expected to further accelerate the development of software and technology for the smartphones.
Their development efforts would be concentrated on the Symbian OS smartphones version 9.x and above. Cingular Deluxe and Corporate Deluxe developers would be provided early and free access to Symbian reference materials.
Jerry Panagrossi, Symbian’s vice president of U.S. operations said in a statement on this new development: “We are collaborating with Cingular to offer deeper support to its developer community, ensuring accelerated time-to-market for applications targeting the latest Symbian OS smartphones.”
