Microsoft highlights Vista product and hardware availability
Software giant Microsoft is due to ship their Vista operating system to their corporate customers starting next month.
Retail launch would take place early next year. And the company now claims that there are already as many as 250 hardware and software products that are specifically designed to utilize the new features being delivered in the Vista operating system.
These products range from video cards and webcams, to keyboards and specialty peripherals.
Microsoft aims to showcase Vista as a home-entertainment centre product and users would be able to handle the newer technical products and applications using it.
The company said that interested users can identity Vista certified products by checking for two kinds of stickers:
“Certified for Windows Vista” means the product has been tested to meet certain standards.
“Works with Windows Vista” means the product is Vista-compatible.
