Google launches pinging service for Google Blog Search
Search engine giant Google is finally making it easier for Bloggers to alert their blog search service to index the latest posts on their blogs.
The company has now launched a notification service, which enables the Bloggers to ping to alert the spiders of the latest updates.
This service is similar to tools provided by alternative blog search engines like Technorati. Google already monitors other pinging services but this new tool would make the indexing of latest blog posts faster.
Google has also provided the APIs for this service to help software developers include this feature in their blog tools.
