Hewlett Packard computers to feature Yahoo! Search tools
Internet Company Yahoo! has gone into collaboration with tech giants Hewlett Packard. The deal between the two companies would see Yahoo! search tools powering the computers manufactured by HP.
Yahoo! is the second most popular search engine service on the internet after Google and this deal is just one of the ways they can catch up with the market leader.
HP would now ship their computers in the US market loaded with tools from Yahoo! this would include making Yahoo! the default search engine in the upcoming web browser update from Microsoft, Internet Explorer 7.
This announcement comes just months after Dell went into a similar deal with search engine giants Google.
As part of the deal, HP computers sold in the European market would have Yahoo! as the default homepage on the Internet Explorer web browser.
