Microsoft to launch pre-paid cards for their software in India

Software giants Microsoft have said that they are planning to launch pre-paid cards in India which would help the consumers use legal versions of their applications without paying a huge price for an ownership license.

This program is aimed at tackling piracy in this huge market. Microsoft is currently testing this technology in Brazil and would introduce it in India in the coming year.

Microsoft is aiming to replicate the concept popular in the mobile sector by enabling users to pay for using their products on a monthly basis.

The company is also aiming to increase its Research and Development facilities in India but refused to reveal more details on their future plans for India.
