Apple updates Boot Camp application

Apple Computers has released the latest version of their Boot Camp application. However, the application still carries the beta tag.

Apple is also due to integrate this application with their upcoming Mac OS X 10.5 update. This software application enables the Mac users to dual boot their machines with the Windows operating system.

Apple said in a statement that this latest update Boot Camp 1.1.1 implements support for Apple’s recently revealed Core 2 Duo-based Macs. It would also add better support for Apple keyboard and Wi-Fi on Mac minis.

However, the company is still warning about the usage of this application: “If you previously installed Boot Camp beta, you can easily update to Boot Camp 1.1.1 beta. You don’t need to partition your hard drive again (unless you want to change its size) or reinstall your Macintosh and Windows software or documents, but it’s very important to update the Boot Camp Assistant software, create a new Macintosh Drivers for Windows CD and install the updated software it contains on Windows XP.”
