Skype now supports video conferencing between PC and Mac users
EBay owned Software Company Skype is now focusing on bringing more interoperability between their Mac and PC software clients.
The company has released a beta version of their Skype software for the Mac platform. And users of Skype for Mac 2.0 will be able to make video calls to both Mac and PC Skype users.
The current stable version is Skype for Mac 1.5 but it does not currently support video calling.
Mac users however already have the inbuilt Apple iChat program, which enables video conferencing. However, they are limited to make calls to other Mac users. It does however support video calls to older versions of AOL’s AIM.
Skype for Mac 2.0 requires the user to have Mac OS X v10.3.9 Panther or newer.
