Amazon.com taking pre-orders of Windows Vista

Software giants Microsoft might be struggling to prove that they are on track with giving the final touches to their upcoming Windows Vista operating system, we have online stores already taking pre-orders of this product.

Amazon.com has amazingly started taking pre-orders of Vista and their prices for this operating system are comparable to the prices of the various editions of Windows XP.

Amazon.com is charging $299 for Windows Vista Business, which is similar to the price of the Windows XP Professional edition.

Windows Vista Home Basic is being sold for USD 199, which is comparable to the price of Windows XP Home edition.

The Windows Vista Premium has been listed at USD 239 similar to the price of Media Center edition of Windows XP.

Amazon.com in addition has listed Windows Vista Ultimate for USD 399.
