IBM launches WebSphere Portal Server

US based tech giants IBM has announced the availability of WebSphere Portal Server application suite.

This is the latest addition to the existing lineup of WebSphere Portal products. This latest entrant in this group is an entry-level offering aimed at small and medium sized businesses.

IBM added that this product is a slimmed-down version of the more powerful WebSphere Portal Enable and WebSphere Portal Extend.

This tool would take on similar tools provided by rivals like Oracle and Microsoft. IBM would be selling this product for $2,500 for a 20-user pack or $50,000 per processor.
