Google beta testing massive upgrades for Google Blogger
Blogger has been long been a part of Google’s range of services. And now they are working on a major upgrade to this blogging service, which power millions of blogs out there.
The upgrade would bring Blogger closer to other blogging platforms like WordPress and LiveJournal.
One of the major changes planned for this upgrade is dynamic on the fly content generation. Instead of relying on static pages, Google Blogger would indeed work off a database system to display blog pages. This would benefit people with blogs with a large number of posts.
With this upgrade, Bloggers would have the power to limit the access of the blog to a couple of people. This enhances the security of the blogs hosted by the service.
Google Blogger would now also support labels, which are more like tags than categories. Finally, Blogger users would be able to have some kind of access to differentiating their posts.
The search engine giant has also extended the availability of RSS feeds in this update. Like WordPress, users have access to multiple levels of RSS feeds.
And for people who are uncomfortable with manual tinkering with the layout, Google now has an intuitive backend mechanism to enable template changes for the user.
