US Department of Homeland Security tell users to upgrade Windows OS
The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has urged the users of Windows OS to upgrade their installation with latest patches and updates released by the company.
They are particularly concerned about a dangerous vulnerability in Microsoft’s Windows operating systems.
Windows OS has been infamous for being a constant target of attacks by worms, Trojans, viruses and other malicious software and this has resulted in Microsoft releasing patches and updates on a monthly basis.
The US Department of Homeland Security said in a statement: “This vulnerability could impact government systems, private industry and critical infrastructure, as well as individual and home users.â€
They are now advising the users to particularly patch their systems with Microsoft security patch MS06-040.
