12 fixes for August Patch Tuesday from Microsoft
Software giant Microsoft released their monthly round of software patches for their applications yesterday.
The patch Tuesday for the month of August saw the company release as many as 12 security fixes.
These were for its Windows operating system and Office business software.
Microsoft confirmed that several of these fixes were to patch Windows flaws that carry the company’s highest danger rating.
The company added that two of the fixes are for vulnerabilities in some versions of its Office software that carry the highest “critical” rating.
Users would get these patches through the Windows’ internal auto update mechanism.
