Microsoft wants hackers to test out Windows Vista security
Software giants Microsoft are trying out a new way to make sure that Vista would be their most secure product ever at launch time.
The company is inviting some of the world’s best-known computer experts to try to poke holes in Vista, which is due to launch in the retail market early next year.
Microsoft is making available the latest test version of the OS to around 3,000 security professionals. Andrew Cushman, Microsoft’s director of security outreach spoke on this initiative: “You need to touch it, feel it. We’re here to show our work.”
Vista is Microsoft’s first product developed under a Microsoft program dubbed secure development life cycle.
