Mozilla Firefox hit 200 million downloads
Open Source foundation Mozilla has claimed that they have registered their 200 millionth download of the popular web browser Mozilla Firefox.
The application was launched in November 2004 and since then has become a major open source project on the internet.
The growth of the application is continuing as the foundation registered the latest 50 million downloads in the last 5 months.
However, Mozilla has accepted that 200 million downloads does not necessarily means that they now have 200 million users. But it still is a pretty impressive feat. As per most statistic companies, Mozilla Firefox has an approximate market share of around 10%.
