Windows Live Spaces: Microsoft launches Spaces update
Software giants Microsoft have launched the updated version of their MSN Spaces Web site. This service enables the user of MSN services to create a blog complete with photos and social network of friends.
The service has been renamed to Windows Live Spaces to make it part of the Live branded services being developed by the company.
Most other online services by Microsoft have also been brought under the Live brand like their messenger and webmail services. These would be supported with online advertisement which Microsoft claim is crucial for growth.
The updated Spaces service adopts a couple of features from the social networking sites such as MySpace.com. They are also enabling the users to include mini-applications called gadgets to personalize their pages.
