Opera launches first Preview Release for Windows Mobile Platform

It was being demanded for so long and it has now arrived. Opera Software ASA today released the first preview release of Opera for the Windows Mobile platform. Since, it is just a preview release… Users are advised not to use the browser for mission critical purposes and as per Opera, the feature set is not complete. Also, this version cannot be registered and would be functional till Dec 31, 2004.

Opera for handhelds and mobiles is a full Internet browser that gives you access to any kind of Web site. Opera for Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003 has just been released in a technical preview version. Please note that the release at this stage has a more limited feature set than Opera for other mobile phones, and that the technical preview of Opera will expire December 31, 2004.

Please note that the current version works with Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003 exclusively, it does not run on Pocket PC or Smartphone 2002.
