Oracle patches as many as 65 bugs in their applications
Database industry giants Oracle has rolled out their second-quarter bug fixes. This fixes as many as 27 flaws that affect its flagship database software.
The company has rolled out patches to fix 65 vulnerabilities. The rest of the patches included: 20 in E-Business Suite, 10 in Application Server, 4 in Enterprise Manager, 2 in PeopleSoft Enterprise, and 1 each in Collaboration Suite and JD Edwards HTML Server.
The patches for their Oracle Database include four fixes for the client-side systems that connect to database systems.
Darius Wiles, senior manager for security alerts at Oracle, said in a statement that as many as 27 of the 65 bugs could be exploited remotely by an anonymous attacker. There are no other fixes but to patch the systems using these bug fixes.
Wiles said: “We fix flaws in severity order. The fixes you see in the Critical Patch Update are the most critical. We strongly recommend to customers that they apply these security patches as soon as they can.”
