Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 now requires no voice training
It can be considered a milestone in voice recognition technology as Nuance Communications is claiming that their latest speech recognition software, Dragon NaturallySpeaking is the first application of its kind that does not require voice training.
This is unlike most other applications available in the market, which requires some training by the user so that the software can get used to the pitch and tone of the user’s voice.
This need of training has often been considered as a deterrent for people to adopt voice recognition technologies. Nuance now wants to change it all.
The company said that it has solved the problem by enabling high-quality dictation out of the box and the program quality would improve with usage. They have also added support for Bluetooth and other wireless headsets and PDAs to this application.
NaturallySpeaking is also now compatible with almost all the 32-bit Windows applications.
