Novell to ship SuSE Linux 10 from Monday

Novell Inc. has announced that they plan to start shipping SuSE Linux 10 from this coming Monday. It is the first major new release of this popular Linux Distro since August 2004. Novell is expecting this release to be a hit with businesses around the world and help them get back on track.

The company is seriously hoping from growth in its Linux products. They sell everything from desktop to mainframe operating systems sharing the same code though they trail Red Hat based releases in the market.

And Novell also makes available free versions of SuSE Linux free for normal users who just want an alternative for the Windows OS platform.

Novell claims that their Linux based businesses are growing at 20% annually, which should improve in the future as Linux is being adapted at a faster pace in the corporate market.
