Automattic launches Jetpack plugin package for WordPress users
Automattic has launched a new plugin named Jetpack which packs a bunch of cool features.

Jetpack is available to the bloggers who are running their own WordPress installations.
The features are mostly borrowed from the exclusive stuff that has been available only to the users of their WordPress.com platform.
A couple of these features were available as independent plugins. But now you can install one single plugin to get multiple functionalities.
Here is the current set of features available from Jetpack:
WordPress.com Stats
Twitter Widget
Gravatar Hovercards
WP.me Shortlinks
Sharedaddy
LaTeX
After the Deadline
Shortcode Embeds
More features are likely to be added in the coming days. We are definitely missing the Automattic’s own version of Like!
This package by itself could soon become a recommended plugin for any WordPress blog user in the future.
