Mozilla Firefox 2.0 beta due to come out today
Mozilla Foundation is scheduled to release the first beta of their upcoming Mozilla Firefox 2 web browser today.
This release is critical, as it would highlight the direction Firefox is taking for the future as it would take on a refurbished and renewed Internet Explorer 7 web browser from the software giants Microsoft.
Opera is the third player in the market (especially for the PC platform) and they became the first player to launch their next generation web browser in the market with the launch of Opera 9.
The release candidate versions of the Firefox 2 beta 1 release are already available and the approved beta should be out sometime today.
Mozilla has said that most changes introduced in this update are under the hood. It comes with a built in anti-phishing tool, improved search box capabilities and an inline spell checker. RSS support has been massively improved and users would have more flexibility with the tabs in the application window.
