Microsoft in more legal troubles with their Windows Genuine Advantage application

Software giants Microsoft continues to face more legal hassles with their Windows Genuine Advantage program.

The company is now hit with a second lawsuit over this recently launched program which installs an application on Windows OS to check if that copy is genuine or not.

This second class-action suit was filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Seattle and comes just within days of a similar lawsuit filed against the company.

This new lawsuit lists its plaintiff as Engineered Process Controls and Univex and individuals named Edward Misfud, David DiDomizio, and Martin Sifuentes.

They are accusing that this application behaves like a spyware and the company misled their customers by not disclosing enough information about this software application.

They are asking for compensation and also want the court to tell Microsoft to warn users of the risks of WGA. The lawsuit also demands that the software company provides a tool to let the users get rid of this application, which is delivered to them as a critical update.
