Yahoo! Messenger for Mac 3.0 beta 1 is out
Search Engine Company and the operators of the world’s most visited website Yahoo! has finally shown some respect for the Mac users as they have launched the first beta of their upcoming Yahoo! Messenger application for the Mac OS X.
This new update sports a brand new user interface and comes with webcam support. It comes as a universal binary that means that it would run in top form on both PowerPC and Intel based Mac computers.
This beta also comes with support for Yahoo! Avatars and Display Images. It also support stealth mode, custom status messages, animated sign-in and sign-out and more. The company has also added support for notifications from Yahoo! Calendar, Mail and Personals.
Overall, it’s a nice and a much delayed update from the company to support the fans who are on Apple Mac computers. The Mac community has shown their displeasure at being left out from all the cool updates Yahoo! bring for the Windows OS users.
