Nokia launches a beta podcasting application
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has just announced the availability of a beta version of their podcasting application.
This application makes it possible for users to download podcasts to its N91 handset. It is available as a free download from the company’s website and lets the user to search for podcasts on the internet.
These podcasts can then be downloaded on the mobile phone and users can view/hear them as per their convenience.
The company believes that such applications hold the future for the company as they turn the mobile phones into “multimedia computers” that can replace digital music players and other portable devices.
Nokia’s Multimedia Director Tommi Mustonen said in a statement: “I don’t think people want 15 different devices to have all these things. There is a new product being born, what we call multimedia computers. It has all the same features a very small PC would have.”
