Microsoft Windows Live Messenger to be launched today!

Software giants Microsoft has said that they believe that the latest update of their messaging application Live Messenger is ready for prime time.

The company is scheduled to launch the messenger application officially today. A public beta has been available for anyone interested since quite sometime.

The update would be freely available for anyone who uses the MSN Messenger application for chatting and staying in touch with online buddies.

Microsoft believes that this updated application would help it to improve its market share in the segment, which is currently dominated by AOL and its messenger services.

Windows Live Messenger would be one of the first products to debut under Microsoft’s new “Live” brand. The company has already launched Live OneCare security package and is working on several other tools including a search engine under this brand.
