Microsoft comes out with eight critical patches
Software giants Microsoft released as many as eight critical patches yesterday. These patches are for its Windows operating system, Internet Explorer browser, Windows Media Player and Office productivity software.
Some of these flaws are critical enough to allow attackers to take control of a computer. It was one of the biggest updates from the company in the recent times. The Patch Tuesday release yesterday had a total of 12 patches that address 21 security holes.
19 of these security issues are related to remote code executions and this update highlights the criticality of these upgrades.
Six of the flaws are related to the Windows OS and two are related to the company’s MS Office suite.
