You might be interested in looking at indiamarks (www.indiamarks.com) as well, which is a social bookmarking service targeted at the global indian community. While we have started with a bookmarking centric application, the idea really is to deliver a searchable and tagged index of valuable india and indian-related content - which will really make it much easier for the good/clean/valuable indian content to surface better and faster.
