Microsoft to bring around a dozen patches this coming Patch Tuesday

Software giants Microsoft are rumored to be preparing releasing as many as 12 security patches for its products this coming Patch Tuesday. The company releases updates and patches to their software products on the second Tuesday of every month and the Patch Tuesday of June is just around the corner.

This means that the network administrators around the world would be preparing for what could be a hefty week to deploy all the patches on the systems on their network.

These patches should include a fix for the widely reported flaw in their word processing application MS Word. Another fix should be for the Internet Explorer, which would change the way it handles ActiveX. This update is expected to cause troubles for web developers.

Around nine patches would be for the core operating system product. Some of these flaws are labeled critical by the company. This patch release would happen during the Microsoft’s Tech-Ed user conference and could complicate matters for some network administrators who would be busy attending this meet.
