Google Browser Sync: Google develops Mozilla Firefox synchronizer
Search engine giant Google is continuing with their support of the open source web browser product Mozilla Firefox.
They are partially financing the open source foundation by paying for the searches conduction on Google search engine through their browser and they have also developed a bunch of extensions for this open source web browser.
Now, the search engine company has come out with another utility, which would help the users of Mozilla Firefox browser to migrate their browser profile to other computers.
The application is called Google Browser Sync and it enables the users to maintain the same bookmarks, Web site visits log, saved passwords, and persistent cookies in all their copies of the Mozilla open-source browser.
Users would just be required to install this utility on all the machines they want their profiles on. Impressively, it also “remembers” the tabs and windows users had open the last time they used Firefox and users can reopen them the next time they open the web browser on another machine!
However, the applications download the new settings on every boot time, which slows down the starting of the application. It supports Firefox 1.5 and newer versions.
